Rachel joins At-Home Tutoring Services as our Director of Academic Coaching and Regional Educational Consultant, bringing a wealth of educational expertise, leadership experience, and a genuine passion for student success to the AHTS team. In her role, Rachel will lead the growth and development of AHTS Academic Coaching services while supporting students, families, and educational partnerships throughout Fort Bend County, the North Gulf Coast region, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Rachel has dedicated more than 33 years to helping students, families, and educators thrive.
Throughout her distinguished career, Rachel has served in a variety of impactful roles, including classroom teacher, lead interventionist, math content specialist, and instructional coach. Her extensive experience has shaped her belief that every child is capable of learning, they simply do not all learn in the same way.
Rachel understands that meaningful relationships are the foundation of lasting educational success. She believes strong connections with students, families, and educators create the trust and confidence needed for students to reach their full potential. Recognizing that self-confidence influences every aspect of a learner’s journey, Rachel is passionate about empowering both students and educators with the tools, encouragement, and support needed to help every learner succeed.
Born and raised in southern Louisiana, Rachel moved to Texas in 1999 while continuing to maintain strong educational connections throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Although much of her life has been devoted to serving others through education, Rachel considers her greatest accomplishments to be found within her family, as a wife, proud mother of two grown sons, and in her newest and most cherished role as “Sassy” to her granddaughter.
